CMIO Survival Guide: A Crash Course – Atlanta 2017

The Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) is becoming increasingly important as health systems and physicians transition from volume to value based healthcare. Join AMDIS Thought Leaders and leading CMIOs in this symposium to discuss the 2nd generation of the CMIO. Through a variety of presentations, small group discussions and case studies CMIOs and other C-Suite leaders will discuss success strategies for the future. Topics will include the role of the CMIO, the organization structure and reporting relationships, the authority and ability to shape strategy, the responsibility to influence the medical staff and make decisions regarding information technology policy, and a variety of attendee-generated hot topics.
